Joel Rabesolo

Belamba is much more than a style. It's a way of dressing in multiple layers, borrowed from the peasants of Madagascar, but it's also a way of being, of living, of feeling.

At the origin of the project, Joel Rabesolo, an artist of a thousand strings, from a background blending world music and jazz training, deeply rooted in Malagasy traditions. On his path, he meets Tonny Andriamisaina: singer, dancer, player of valiha, sodina, lokanga, amponga... A one-man orchestra, with an ancient breath and contemporary grace.

From this encounter, a true alchemy is born. Two souls in resonance, two universes that merge. Belamba's music is the Malagasy countryside speaking. A raw energy, sometimes wild, always delicate. It vibrates with sincerity, colored with a thousand vivid nuances, like the fabrics layered at dawn.
